MapLiver Terms of Use

App Features and Important Notes

1. This app is available only to users aged 17 or older who agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.
2. Registration requires only a nickname and an email address. Other users will see only your nickname, supporting safe use.
3. The app never shows previously uploaded photos or videos. Only currently active users appear on the map, enabling real-time P2P video sharing.
4. Video data transmitted and received is not stored on any servers.
5. If you upload or publish received videos on social media or other platforms, you bear full responsibility.
6. For safety, users located within a 5 km radius (10 km diameter) of each other are not shown on the map. If a receiver blocks a sender during a session due to inappropriate content, both users will no longer appear on each other’s maps.
7. Because the app transmits video data, we recommend using a stable Wi-Fi connection.
8. To protect privacy and intellectual property, recordings that can identify individuals (e.g., faces, addresses, license plate numbers) are prohibited.
9. Other important notes and restrictions are described in these Terms. Please read and agree before using the app.

Article 1 (Service Description)

1. The App enables users to make requests on a map and exchange one-minute real-time video streams with each other.
2. Video data is transmitted directly via P2P communication, and we do not store any video data.
3. For safety, users within a certain range (e.g., a 5 km radius) are not displayed on the map. If a receiver blocks a sender during a session due to inappropriate content, both users will no longer appear on each other’s maps.
4. The functions, content, communication methods, and availability of the App may be changed or suspended at our sole discretion at any time.

Article 2 (Prohibited Acts)

1. Acts that violate laws or public order and morals.
2. Recording in no-photography areas (e.g., military facilities, courts, airport security zones).
3. Acts that infringe on the privacy of others (including identifiable information such as faces, addresses, or license plate numbers).
4. Acts that infringe copyrights, trademarks, portrait rights, or other rights of third parties.
5. Unauthorized use of videos or data obtained through the App.
6. Harassment, defamation, threats, discriminatory speech, or nuisance toward other users or third parties.
7. Unauthorized access to, or placing an excessive load on, the App’s systems or servers.
8. Reverse engineering, decompilation, modification, or other misuse of the App.
9. Registering personal information (such as real names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, or account IDs of other services) as a nickname.
10. Impersonating celebrities, companies, entrepreneurs, or any other third parties.
11. Infringing the rights of third parties.
12. Any other acts deemed inappropriate by the Company.

Article 3 (Disclaimers)

1. OmniLabs LLC, Apple Inc., Google LLC, distribution partners, and other related parties (collectively, the “Disclaiming Parties”) make no guarantees and bear no responsibility for the accuracy, legality, validity, or safety of any videos or information transmitted through the App.
2. If a video transmitted or recorded by a user contains the privacy or rights of third parties, the user bears full responsibility, and the Disclaiming Parties bear no responsibility.
3. If a user records and saves a video and uploads it to social media or other platforms, the uploader bears full responsibility, and the Disclaiming Parties bear no responsibility.
4. Received videos may include a watermark with the service name or logo. The watermark is for identification and misuse prevention and does not imply involvement by the Disclaiming Parties in the video content.
5. Even if claims, complaints, or lawsuits are raised by third parties regarding watermarked videos, the Disclaiming Parties bear no responsibility arising from the content of such videos.
6. The App’s point, status, and ranking features are provided for entertainment purposes only, and the Disclaiming Parties bear no responsibility for their accuracy, bugs, or outcomes.
7. The Disclaiming Parties bear no responsibility for unstable video, delays, or communication costs arising from network environments or device performance.
8. Any disputes or troubles between users shall be resolved solely between the parties at their own responsibility and expense, and the Disclaiming Parties shall not be involved or liable.

Article 4 (Copyright of Videos)

1. Copyright and all other intellectual property rights related to videos or other content recorded and transmitted by users through the App belong to the respective user or the rightful third-party rights holder.
2. The Disclaiming Parties do not acquire any rights to user videos or other content and bear no responsibility for their content.
3. Users warrant that their videos or other content do not infringe the copyrights, portrait rights, trademarks, privacy rights, or other rights of third parties.
4. In the event of disputes with third parties concerning videos or other content transmitted by users, the user shall resolve such disputes at their own responsibility and expense, and the Disclaiming Parties shall not be involved or liable.

Article 5 (Revisions)

We may revise these Terms as necessary. Revised Terms become effective upon posting on our official website, and the App will display a link to the updated Terms.

Article 6 (Official Nicknames and Verified Badge)

We may grant certain users an “Official Nickname” or a “Verified Badge (🛡️).” Eligibility and issuance are determined solely by the Company based on factors such as identity verification, public trust, and demonstrated activity in reporting, community contribution, or information dissemination.

The Verified Badge may be granted to trusted actors including—but not limited to—news organizations, public agencies, companies, nonprofit or community projects, cultural promoters, entrepreneurs, creators, and public figures, who help reliably convey what is happening “now” in the world. This badge symbolizes MapLiver’s mission to connect the real world in real time.

If we confirm fraudulent name use, impersonation, or any attempt to falsely claim “official” or “verified” status, the Company may suspend or delete the relevant account without prior notice.
